Living in a family is participating in the work of the lord, it is a sharing of the mission of the Church. It is...holy. Love is the cornerstone of the family. Love brought us to life as a family. It is through love that God is revealed. The family is the first place we learn love and caring, and how to live co-operatively, and productively with others. We help each other to grow & reach out to serve those in critical need. No matter who we are, or what vocation we have, we all belong to a family.

Promoting Reconciliation

Aboriginal Reconciliation Group
We thank you for the wisdom of indigenous Australians in their knowledge and care for the land. May we be open to receiving their wisdom in our struggle to care for the natural environment. MORE PRAYERS

This group was formed by a small number of interested parishioners following encouragement from the Catholic Bishops conference in 2006 to act on Pope John Paul II words in Alice Springs in 1986 which called all catholic people to actively work towards reconciliation with our aboriginal brothers and sisters. Understanding some of the common Catholic liturgical & devotional practices

Why do we do..the things we do?

INQUIRERS COURSE We have been hearing from a number of people lately interested in knowing more about the Catholic faith & becoming Catholic & so we have decided to continue our inquirers course recommencing on Thurs 17th May 7.30pm-9.00pm in the Parish Office. Follow this link for full details of the PROGRAM 2007-2008 This interest in the community by people looking for meaning or to make sense of their lives—seeking something deeper—seems to be growing, & our inquirers course I believe is a very important response by our parish to all of these. If you know someone who would appreciate hearing about our course, please take a flier & hand it along to them. Meanwhile, supporters are also most welcome to join in. Supporters represent the friendship & prayerful support of the parish. Fr Martin stpats.sutherland@bigpond.com
