NEXT FAMILY MASS - 13th September 2008 - 6PM

All children welcome to join in with the Liturgical movement after Communion

St Patrick's Parish Sutherland has a very special Mass on the second Saturday of each month at 6pm during school terms.  It is called the 'Family Mass'.  This celebration is lively and fun where families and children are catered for.  Our aim ts to encourage a 'sense of belonging' along with a warm and friendly community spirit.

There are many ways which you can participate in the Mass such as reading, being a candle holder or taking up the Offertory just to name a few.  Liturgical movements (basic actions to a song) are always a big hit with the children and the music chosen is always 'child friendly'. The children love to play the percussion instruments along with the final song.

All children are invited to participate in the Gospel Procession and also joining Father at the altar for the Homily.

After Mass, there are free refreshments and a chance to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones.

So, if you would like to join the roster, please email Kay at macadamak@bigpond.com

Alternatively, just come along and enjoy the warm family friendly

atmosphere.  You are always very welcome at St Pat's!

We are always looking for new musicians (young and old) so if you would like to participate, email Dominique at sherleyfamily@optusnet.com.au

Hope to see you there!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT WITH ST PATRICK’S FAMILY MASS

WHAT IS A FAMILY?

A Family is a Place
To cry
To laugh
To vent frustration
To ask for help
And tease
And yell
To be hugged
and smiled at.

A Family is People
Who care when you are sad
Who love you no matter what
Who share your triumphs
Who don't expect you to be perfect
Just grow with honesty
In your own direction.

A Family is a Circle
Where we learn to like ourselves
Where we learn to make good decisions
Where we learn to think before we do
Where we learn integrity and respect for others
Where we are special
Where we share ideas
Where we listen and are listened to
Where we learn the rules of life
To prepare ourselves for the world.

The world is a Place
Where anything can happen.

If we grow in a Loving Family
We are ready for the world.
